Open to the floor

Jim Simon (on Millers Rd.) let us know about his opposition and appreciates the board allowing him to speak (having a voice) and expressing concerns with the windmills.  At the County Planning Board they were not able to speak.  Is hoping to be able to now.

Chairman Donald Lamay let Mr. Simon know that the Planning Board does appreciate the comments and concerns.

Chairman Donald Lamay then read a list of people that sent/forwarded letters of concerns and oppositions of the windmills.

Paula Simon asked how the wind came up for zoning.

Richard Kurz – Yates, Shelby, and Ridgeway hired consultants, compared each Town.  Worked it out and came up with a comprehensive plan.

Jim Simon asked if a survey will be done to see what the results are.  (For or Against)

Ed Urbanik – That’s out of our hands.

Jim Simon asked about recommending it to the Town Board.

The MET tower was discussed.  A suggestion was made; Apex should be required to give the results of the wind measurements when done.

Paula Simon spoke of health concerns.  As far as hearing loss generated by low frequency windmills.

Jim Simon is going to send information regarding that.

Jim Bansbach – It would be a good idea to do some sound checks to see what the difference is.

Ralph Smith handed out an aviation map and explained how it’s used.  For land, planes have to be 700 feet above for flight.  Water, they can be as low as they want.  Would like to require a light on the tower for safety of low flying planes.

NO FURTHER BUISNESS WAS DISCUSSED
